How Writerflow keeps you informed via email.

What Triggers a Notification

Writerflow sends email notifications for key events:

  • New review request — when you're added as a reviewer
  • Comment added — when someone comments on your document
  • Approval received — when a reviewer approves your document
  • Changes requested — when a reviewer requests revisions
  • Review reminder — when a review deadline is approaching

For Document Owners

You'll receive notifications when:

  • A reviewer submits their approval or requests changes
  • A new comment or reply is added to your document

For Reviewers

You'll receive:

  • The initial review request with your magic link
  • Reminder emails if you haven't reviewed by the deadline
  • Notification when the document owner uploads a new version

Managing Notifications

You can unsubscribe from non-essential notifications using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Writerflow email. Critical notifications (like new review requests) cannot be disabled.
