Reviewer Roles & Permissions
Understanding what reviewers can and cannot do.
Reviewer Permissions
Reviewers (via magic link) can:
- ✅ Read the document
- ✅ Add inline comments on specific text
- ✅ Reply to comment threads
- ✅ Approve the document
- ✅ Request changes with feedback
Reviewers cannot:
- ❌ Edit the document content
- ❌ Delete other people's comments
- ❌ Change the workflow or add other reviewers
- ❌ Access other documents in your workspace
Document Owner Permissions
As the document owner, you have full control:
- Upload and edit documents
- Set up approval workflows
- Add and remove reviewers
- Resolve comments
- Upload revisions
- View the complete activity and audit trail
